Petite Pet puppies are very unique. Their uniqueness comes from their breeding. Having used only one breeder for almost 25 years, Ann Lord, lends to the exceptionality of our puppies. The advantage to using only one breeder is that their lineage goes back 25 years. Many of the dogs our breeder uses to breed are of show quality lines, being bred to the highest quality for health and temperaments. All of our puppies are hypoallergenic and non-shedding. The sizes of our puppies ranges from teacup (4lbs and under), toy (4-7lbs) and small breed (8-14 lbs).
To talk about our breeds specifically is an impossible task. Puppies like people have their own personalities and are very much product of their environments.
While giving a brief description of our breeds, kindly keep in mind that we are speaking in generalities and commonalities. Breeds have specific similarities, but not ALL of them carry that specific trait.
Yorkies, as they are more commonly known very much have minds of their own. They tend to be too smart for their own good, mischievous at times, with big personalities. “Big dog in a little dog’s body.“ Many of our Yorkies are tcup size, and this breed is not good for families with children and families who spend much of their day out of the house.
Yorkipoos make great family dogs usually weighing about 8-12lbs. They are super smart, playful, loyal, loving and gentle. We highly recommend this mixed breed for families with children and/or other animals.
Shorkie’s also make great dogs for families with children and/or other animals. They are very energetic, loving, loyal and smart. They typically weigh 10-12 lbs. full grow.
Our Morkie’s range in size from tcup to small breed. Their personalities can be Yorkie-like or Maltese-like. Sometimes, Maltese can be a little more needy and can have separation anxiety. Our Morkies are lively, sociable and intelligent. While they are playful, they also love to snuggle and require frequent human companionship. This breed is good for a stay at home mom, a retiree, or a brother or sister to your current furry friend.
A pure bred Maltese is always white and color and sometimes have little heart shaped noses. They are usually very pretty and petite dogs. Our Maltese are mostly on the small side ranging from tcup to toy size. They require a lot of attention and are very active. Maltese want to give love and be loved. This dog is a great companion for someone who wants to travel with them or be at home to spend time pampering them.
Maltipoos are highly intelligent, very energetic, and crave the attention of their owner. Our Maltipoos tend to be on the smaller side from tcup to toy in size. This mix is also great for someone who wants a companion to travel with, visit friends with, really your new little baby. If you have the love to give to this breed, they will reward you with the same in exchange.
Shitese are also very attractive dogs. They are great for families, people with other animals, or as an only dog home. They are a little bit more mellow from the Shih Tzu, but are still playful, sweet and cuddly.
Poosh tend to be very much like Shih Tzu in their looks and personalities. The one small difference between the two is that Poosh are slightly more intelligent which comes from the Poodle. Great family dogs or a new addition to any family.
Malshipoo’s are very similar to Poosh. They are very chill, pretty and loving dogs. This is one of our favorite of the mixes. They do well with kids of all ages and get along with other family pets. This breed is extremely social and enjoys being taken out for car rides, walks or even on an airplane trip.
Shih Tzu’s are big, fluffy balls of love. Super mellow, great in any situation, couch potato or let’s go for a stroll, this breed or mixed Shih Tzu breed are all recommended. They tend to be on the larger side anywhere from 8-15 lbs. Shih Tzu’s love to eat, and can become lazy. Be sure to keep them somewhat active, and don’t overfeed a Shih Tzu.
